Cool! We got a glimpse of a female quetzal which was less impressive but great to see all the same. We were also in Nuevo Arenal I think in the same place almost and loved the organic find.. yet to write that one up though!

I saw a male quetzal there – so beautiful. Love your observation about the diversity of species in Costa Rica correlating to the warmth and openness of the culture to foreigners! Enjoy Laguna Arenal – I’d love my time there! So relaxing and the lake is stunning. I stayed in Nuevo Arenal – a cute small town on the northside with an organic market!
